Scotty is a friendly, charismatic Allentown native that has worked for the City of Allentown in two departments for 37 years. The last 12 years of his career were in the Building Standards and Safety Bureau Department as Housing Rehab Specialist in which he wrote specifications and oversaw the construction process for Self Forgiving Loan Programs for improvements to abate code issues, Homestead Program homes for Qualified Homeowners, Façade Grants, Emergency Hazard Repairs and LEAD Abatement. Scotty treats every project as if he were to live there himself and really listens to the homeowners needs which was proven in the many successful projects that were completed on residential and commercial properties including blighted properties.

His history with the City of Allentown has made him well known, when you walk the streets with Scotty, he will always see someone he knows and always smiles and waves. His passion for restoration of the neighborhoods that he grew up in, helps drive him to make every rehab better than the last.

After many loyal years of work, Scotty decided to retire in 2017. The break was needed, but in 2019 he came back part time as the Project Manager of the Redevelopment Authority and is again able to help with successful projects and help the city eliminate blight.
